26 Jan 2023-Republic Day Celebrations

The trainees of DBTI, Okhla celebrated 74th anniversary of the Republic day of India. This year, the theme of India’s Republic Day 2023 is “Jan Bhagidari (participation of the common people). The Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949, and came into effect on 26th January, 1950. This important day marks the transition of India from a British colony to a republic. The Republic Day of India is celebrated as national holiday throughout India. Our trainees were made aware through talks and sharing on the importance of the Republic Day of our country.

 

Training institutes, Schools, colleges and communities arrange programs where people participate and engage in several types of activities that commemorate the spirit of Republic Day. The national anthem is sung and the national tricolour flag is hoisted in honour of this patriotic day. The trainees had traditional march past after unfurling the national flag and national anthem. Arnold from machinist trade gave a lively talk explaining the importance of remembering and celebrating the Republic Day. Prior to this on 25th Lukman Siddique from Offset Printing course gave a passionate speech during the morning assembly. During the speech he pointed out the sacrifices make by our freedom fighters and he told everyone to be patriotic and stand for truth and justice.
