It was an eventful day on 30th June 2023 for DBTI as the management, staff and students acknowledged and appreciated during the award ceremony the students who performed well during the course of the year. An award ceremony is an event at which deserving persons are given awards for their achievements. This could be for their work in academic field, their sports performance, or any other area where they have excelled. The award ceremony is a way of recognising and celebrating achievements of performers in academics, activities and competitions.
The award ceremony began at 12.30 P M with lighting of the lamp and prayer song. Fr. Sajan M George, the Director of the institute congratulated the performers of the institute and wished them all the very best in all their future endeavours. He also took the chance to thank the outgoing students and told them to do well and be optimistic in whichever field they are in the future. This was followed by awarding the certificates by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rock John (Past pupil 1991 batch machinist) to the trainees with 100% attendance. Together with this the winners of quiz and speech competitions and those secured first in class were also awarded with certificates and trophies.
Ashwin from CVE GD came up and thanked the outgoing students for their hard work and effort put in during the past one year and on behalf of the institute he wished them all the very best. This was followed by a dance by CVE GD students after which the winners and runners up of football, volleyball, cricket throw ball (girls), basketball, shuttle (boys & girls) and Rangoli were awarded with medals and certificates.
Chief guest, in his speech shared some of his experiences and rapport he is enjoying with DBTI. He appreciated and wished the outgoing trainees all success and congratulated the students who performed well in studies as well as competitions and games. After this Swetha from COPA came up and thanked the management, staff and the 1st year trainees for the wonderful program and all the support and encouragement the out-going trainees received during the course of their studies.
The principal was invited to award the section toppers and the student of the year. Nikhil Lakra (Machinist 2), Akanksha Yadav (CVE GD 2) and Nirali Toppo (COPA) were declared the best trainees of mechanical, printing and computer sections respectively. Akanksha Yadav was unanimously declared as the trainee of the year 2023 for her all round performance. Principal in his address emphasised the need of working hard with a clear goal in mind always. He told them to respect self and others especially those who have contributed to their growth. He thanked the organizing team CVE GD 1st year, the teachers Mr. Amit Gautam, Mr. Sanjeet and Ms. Nitu and Fr. Anbarasan, the Vice Principal who meticulously did all the planning. The Principal was grateful to Mr. Manoj Verma and Mr. Anto Peter who resigned on account of personal reason and he wished bother of them success in all their future endeavours. There was a video clip which everyone enjoyed. The video clip recollected the cherishing moments consisting of various activities, fun and laughter of the past one year. The award day and farewell program was really fitting to the occasion and I am sure everyone will cherish this day for a long time.
