It was a wonderful day indeed on 2nd October 2021 when over 50 past Pupils gathered at DBTI Okhla for the annual meet. The core committee had met several times prior to the scheduled program to plan the details. There was Holy Mass at 10.00 a. m presided over by Fr Sajan M George, the Director of the Institute. A tea break followed during which everyone was mingling with each other. After a photo session, all gathered at 11.30 for sharing and other events. Br Tom. C.J, the delegate of the Alumni, welcomed everyone with a short ice-breaking session. Mr. Ajit, the president of the Alumni, took over and coordinated the program. He gave a briefing of the rest of the program after welcoming everyone. The first one to share was Mr. Roger Samuel who is the vice president of IKIKO Lighting Pvt Ltd. It was quite enriching to listen to him as he described the struggles he went through and reached a position where he is happy indeed now. Mr. Lazarus, Mr. Sunil, Mr. Jayashankar, Mr. Yeshwant, and Ms. Ritika too shared their experiences. They were grateful for the training and education they had received from the institute. The sharing’s were inspiring indeed and everyone felt motivated and encouraged. There were some fun games in between the sharings. Fr Sajan too was invited to speak and he emphasized the importance of commitment from everyone to take the Alumni association forward in the right direction.

The sharing session came to an end at 1.20 and there was lunch prepared for all. Lunch was also a time when friends could meet with each other to share their own personal experiences. After lunch, there was a throwball game for the girls followed by a basketball match between past pupils and the present pupils. The past pupils won the match by a whisker. The day’s program came to an end at around 3.30 pm and the core committee met at 4.00 pm for a short evaluation. During the evaluation, the flaws were pointed out and those responsible promised to take better care of the organizational aspect next time. Every one of the core team expressed that the day’s program went on well as there were some varieties. It was an enriching day indeed for all who participated.
